For players looking for lightweight performance, the Elyte Max Fast is designed with a lightweight construction and components to provide an easy-to-swing profile. Targeting golfers with moderate to slow swing speeds, the Elyte Max Fast is a lightweight, forgiving, and easy-to-swing fairway wood with a draw bias. It's designed with lightweight shafts and a lightweight grip with the aim of maximizing clubhead speed for more carry distance.
Engineered for cleaner contact, the new Step Sole reduces the sole contact area, minimizing skidding and drag, ensuring smoother, more solid strikes. Featured on the 3-7 wood, the new Tungsten Speed Wave is a 35g suspended weight that positions mass low and forward to promote fast ball speeds. This new, innovative design is engineered specifically to enhance misses low on the face – a typical miss for most players.
The new Ai10x Face delivers ten times more control points than the Ai Smart Face, making it Callaway's most advanced to date. With thousands more smart points on Elyte, Callaway's latest fairways produce a vastly tighter downrange dispersion, markedly increased ball speeds, and optimized launch conditions across the face.
Unlike the Max Fast driver, where Callaway have introduced their Optifit hosel for the first time, the fairway wood remains a fixed hosel. With this being a US-only model and us being based in the UK, we're yet to see the Max Fast in person for a full review, but we have requested a sample.
